Biblical Money Affirmations to Study This Year

I want to first off say that this is my personal opinion and I know there are many of you who do not have the same worldview as I do. That is okay and I want you to know that you are welcome here. Feel free to skip this post if you want to 🫶🏼

Affirmations, mantras, etc. I'm sure you've heard of them. But as a believer and Christ follower, it's hard for me to get behind this. It's replacing God with ourselves. It's taking God out of the picture and not realizing that He is sovereign over all. He is our ultimate fulfillment in life, not money. He has a plan for you and his plan is WAY better than anything we could ever dream of.

Biblical Money Affirmations

Now, the Bible does talk about how powerful our words are and they certainly are powerful. In one of the wisest books it talks that the tongue will bring life and death. (Proverbs 18:21) Now that we've laid the foundation I want to give you some verses to meditate on as you think about your finances for 2024.

  1. “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19)

  2. “And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing” (Genesis 12:2)

  3. “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3)

  4. “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit and of revelation in the knowledge of him.” (Ephesians 1:17)

Take these verses and ponder them. How do they point to Christ and the work he has done for us?

What does this mean for our business finances?

Make God the CEO of your business. Lean on him through everything and trust in him.

As Christians, we are called to be stewards of our finances and to handle them with wisdom and care. Does that mean we ignore them? No. In fact, we need to be paying attention diligent attention to them, being smart with our decisions and investments and pulling in outside help if we don't understand things.

If you identify as Christian, I'd love to hear what you think. How has God directed your business? Did you find these affirmations helpful? Let us know on Instagram!
